Favourite author...

I have not done very much reading in the past couple months.  Before the drama of the evacuation I had two or three books started.  The books I usually read are about trauma, the helping profession, human behaviour and self care. 
Thanks to Françoise Mathieu of WHP (Workshops for the Helping Profession) in Kingston, I found Dr. Gabor Maté and his books.  I also had the privilege of seeing him do a presentation at the Compassion Fatigue Conference in Kingston in June and he sat at our table at lunch.
When I started reading his books, I was so inspired by his message and his perspective, I sent him an email.  He wrote me a personal message saying thank you and recommending other books for me.  This personal attention to sharing the message of compassion for others and ourselves is so inspiring, I just want to share with everyone what others have shared with me. 
The following are my favourite books by Dr. Maté.  I have read them both twice.

Everyone has the different choice while picking up the favorite author for him or her. I pick from assignment from EduBirdie the one which I like to read every time.

Here my favorite author i love to read its all blog and also read many things from which he just think just about us. And that thing make me more strong because he share its all the important talks with its readers.

Self-care can be a lot of things. There are certainly a lot of self-care activities that I could suggest but the main genuine approach to recognize what you require is to tune in to your body and act accordingly.
